Basic Privacy Policy

FUKOKU Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “the Company”) recognizes that it is its social responsibility to appropriately manage and protect any information provided to the Company that could potentially identify an individual (hereinafter, “Personal Information”), including the names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses of individuals, and has established the following Basic Privacy Policy to that end.

1. Legal Compliance and Management of Personal Information

The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws related to the protection of personal information, while also striving to appropriately manage the personal information it has obtained to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, etc.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company shall use the Personal Information within the scope of the purpose of use below, except when separately announcing its intent to do so or notifying the party concerned in advance.

    • [7] Solicitation, sales, or marketing activities for products or services
    • [8] Provision of information on seminars, exhibitions, and events
    • [9] Handling of inquiries and consultation
    • [10] Implementation of surveys, analysis, utilization of analysis results in business activities
    • [11] Performing other peripheral operations related to the above
  • (2) Personal information of shareholders
    • [1] Exercise of rights under the law and performance of duties
    • [2] Providing accommodations as an issuing company
    • [3] Implementation of various shareholder policies
    • [4] Data creation and other forms of shareholder management based on laws and regulations
    • [5] Performing other peripheral operations related to the above
  • (3) Personal information related to job applicants
    • [1] Communications involved in distributing recruitment information to and screening of job applicants (including internship)
    • [2] Management of recruitment operations
    • [3] Performing other peripheral operations related to the above
  • (4) Personal information of Company officers and employees, their families, and retired employees
    • [1] Communications in the course of business, management of attendance, payment of salaries, proper assignment of personnel, evaluation, skill development, employee welfare and benefits, health management, labor management related to safety and health, and otherwise performing duties as stipulated by laws and regulations
    • [2] Acceptance, performance, and management of various procedures stipulated in company regulations
    • [3] Communication and provision to health insurance society, corporate pensions organization, and stock ownership association for officers and employees, subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
    • [4] Notification and reporting to government offices
    • [5] Sending of company newsletters and other materials, emergency communications
    • [6] Performing other peripheral operations related to the above
  • (5) Personal information of local related parties, voluntary associations, etc.
    Communications, consultation, review, negotiations, provision of information, and giving, receiving, and handling of materials

3. Disclosure and provision of personal information to any third party.

The Company will not disclose or provide personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the person concerned, unless permitted or required by law.

4. Management of contractors handling personal information

The Company may provide the Personal Information it has obtained to outsourcing contractors within the extent necessary to achieve the announced or notified purpose of use. Even in such cases, the Company shall require the outsourcing contractors to handle the provided Personal Information suitably, and shall manage it appropriately.

5. Disclosure, amendment, and deletion

The Company shall handle requests for the disclosure, amendment, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, and notification of the purpose of use based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations. It may not be possible to comply if a request does not satisfy the requirements stipulated by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

7. Revision of Policies

The Company may revise its basic policy on the management of personal information without prior notice when required by laws and regulations or otherwise recognized as necessary by the Company. The latest information will be made known through publication on the Company’s website or other suitable method.
